What We Believe

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and that no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6).

We believe that the Holy Scriptures are the inspired Word of God and contain all things necessary for salvation (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Our Faith is summarized in the Apostles’ Creed and expounded on in the Nicene and Athanasian Creeds.

We believe that our faith in Christ means we are called to do good works (Ephesians 2:10). And that we are called to love one another and to help those in need (John 13:34; James 1:27).

We believe God has ordained the Sacraments to strengthen us and to impart to us His Grace. Baptism is the first Sacrament we receive, and it unites us to the Body of Christ (Colossians 2:1-12). The Holy Eucharist is the principal act of worship instituted by Jesus, where he imparts to us Himself, His very Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity (John 6:51).

We believe Jesus commissioned the Apostles to be the overseers of the Church (John 20:22-23). And that the Apostles ordained men to continue their ministry in Apostolic Succession (Titus 1). This ministry of Apostolic Succession remains in the Church to this day with the men who have been consecrated Bishops and those men that the Bishops have ordained to be priests and deacons.

In the person of Jesus, raised from death by the Holy Spirit, God the Father has regenerated the world to share in the very life and communion of the Trinity.
